The Massachusetts Infectious Disease Society (MIDS) holds meetings typically twice a year. MIDS Officers share updates with members, and MIDS members attend a lecture along with the dinner program. 

During the spring or summer meeting, Edward H. Kass Award for Clinical Excellence in Fellowship and Kenneth Kaplan Award for Infectious Diseases Clinician of the Year are awarded. Maxwell Finland Award for Excellence in Research Fellowship is awarded in the fall or winter meeting.
