Welcome to the MIDS Research page. This section features the research work of MIDS members, from study recruitment to published results, spanning basic science, translational, public health, and clinical research.

Members are invited to share their projects and connect with others to foster statewide collaboration. Together, we spotlight the innovation and impact of infectious disease research in the Commonwealth.

Clinical Trials

MGH is currently recruiting participants for a trial of inhaled clofazimine for the treatment of refractory pulmonary Mycobacterium avium Complex (MAC) infection. The study population is generally the same population for whom a provider might consider the addition of inhaled amikacin to a background MAC treatment regimen. More information is available at the websites below, or by contacting the MGH Infectious Diseases Clinical Research Unit (617-724-4160, idcru@mgh.harvard.edu) or the site PI (jalbin@mgh.harvard.edu).
